The whole

night, by

design.

Music and lighting planned as one system. Every transition and every cue mapped to how you want the room to feel, from the first guest to the last dance.

01 / THE DIFFERENCE
WHY MOST EVENTS FEEL THE SAME

Most nights blur together.
This one shouldn’t.

Most DJs show up, set up, and play songs. The lights go next to the booth, because that's where they always go. The set follows the same formula it followed at the last fifty weddings, and by 10pm your floor looks like every other event your guests have been to.

It isn't that they're bad at the job. It's that the job is to fill the time… not to design a night your guests actually remember. We read the room before we touch a fader, then build music and light that move with it. That's the difference.

02 / HOW WE THINK
TWO DISCIPLINES, ONE PLAN

Music and light,
designed as one system.

At MixLux, music and lighting aren't two things we offer. They're one thing we design together. The light doesn't just sit there looking pretty over dinner.

It moves with the music. It shifts when the energy shifts. It tells the room where the night is going before anyone consciously notices… the difference between a room that feels good and a room that feels like yours.

03 / the work
weddings and social events

Built for the nights
that matter most.

One continuous experience from ceremony to last call… a room that evolves with you, not a playlist on shuffle.

Weddings

Guests remember how a night felt, not what was served. We build energy that sticks… launches, galas, milestone parties.

Corporate & Social Events

04 / why clients book us
what you're actually buying

A night that reflects
who you are.

No form to fill out and call planning. We build a Music Profile around who you are, who's coming, and what the night should feel like; then read the room live.

Music built for your room

We'll tell you when a lighting idea won't work, and why. That's not us being difficult; it's caring more about your event than about closing the sale.

A point of view on lighting

Every event has a dedicated point of contact who owns it from first call to final song. No confusion about who's responsible, no gaps.

One lead, every step.

06 / FAQ

BEFORE YOU BOOK
  • Most DJs play songs. We design rooms. We look at acoustics, architecture, lighting angles, and energy flow before we touch a single fader. The goal isn't a good setlist. It's a night your guests actually remember.

  • Yes, and this is exactly where we spend most of our time. We don't do "party lights." We use lighting to enhance your venue's architecture, guide energy through the evening, and create atmosphere that builds as the night does. It can feel like a boutique hotel bar, a jazz club, or a full dance floor. We design for the room you have, not a template.

  • Good. That's easier to work with than "just play stuff people like." We build a Music Profile in planning, work through your influences and non-negotiables, and then read the room on the night. The floor stays packed because we're building momentum, not just checking boxes.

  • We run redundant systems for everything. Backup speakers, controllers, laptops, power distribution. We arrive with time to test before a single guest walks in. In ten years of events, we've never had a show-stopping failure. We'd like to keep that record.

  • For peak season (May through October), at least 9 months out. We take a limited number of events per year on purpose. That's not a marketing line. It's how we keep the quality where it needs to be.
